Watch me longarm quilt a baseball themed table runner

Have you ever wondered what it was like to use a longarm quilting machine? If so, then watch me longarm quilt this baseball themed table runner on my Gammill Statler Stitcher.

Custom quilting table runners is one of my favorite things to do. It truly brings me joy. And of course I was singing “take me out to the ball game” while I was working on this client’s table runner.

I love picking out the patterns that I’m going to use. For this quilt I had to edit a baseball bat and ball design to fit in the space of the table runner, which makes this runner one of a kind! The borders had such amazing baseball theme fabric that I couldn’t bring myself to quilt over them..so instead I quilted them with a piano key straight line design. Which gave texture to the borders and emphasized the fabrics and not my quilting.

I used white thread in the center of the runner so that the baseball bat and ball design would really pop off the quilt!

While the video contains before and after photos of the completed table runner as well as snippets of me actually quilting the table runner; unfortunately there is not any footage of me actually singing. ha ha ha ha
